Tracy Ryan

    Tracy Ryan has been active in the Libertarian Party since 1995. She has run for office four times including State Senate and Governor. She was elected twice to community board of Honolulu County. She was the cofounder of the first peer led transgender support group Hawaii Transgendered Outreach in 1990. As an advocate for this population she became involved in sex worker rights. In 1994 and 1995 she and others were successful in preventing an increase in sentencing for sex workers from one month to six months in jail. Over the decades she has been involved in numerous fights against bad laws at the Hawaii legislature and has accumulated a large amount of knowledge of the issues involved.
