At only 23, Dustin Nanna is vice chairman of the state Libertarian Party in his native Ohio, where he became a libertarian during high school. Then in 2015, he became involved, passionately, with Libertarian politics. After having organized and led the Central Ohio Region of Gary Johnson’s 2016 campaign, he stepped up in 2017 to run for city council in Delaware, Ohio.
Nanna works with the developmentally disabled as a homemaker and personal care professional, which he finds tremendously rewarding. “My profession is the most psychologically and emotionally fulfilling job I’ve ever had,” he says. “I think it’s just natural to want to help people.”
Nanna is a staunch supporter of the idea that government exists by the permission of the people, and a firm opponent of government overreach.
